A Djinn is a spirit that sits somewhere between the celestial and mortal world in Islamic mythology. In the hyper-Christian and heavily protestant country of the US they are regarded as little more than demons, servants of the “ultimate cosmic enemy,” or some load of shit. “Belle” is the first half of the latin word “Bellatrix;” a warrior, feminine. It’s also one of my names.
